STRANGE FRUIT, they were quite a popular British rock band in 70's. Their
singer Keith who had talent was O. D.ed, the band got Ray who wants to
be always spectacular. A feud between him and Les who respects Keith and
keith's brother Brian got worse and worse, the band broke up after an "accident"
by thunder at Wisbech Rock Festival. |
(review) Ray says how many people came to their previous shows at arena in front of a mirror in the rest room of a club in the Netherlands, according to him "Tokyo 23,000 people, Anaheim 44,000 people, Dallas 67,000 people". In 70's there's no big arena like a Baseball Dome for concerts in Japan, we can find Budokan is the place where a band could have a big audience in Tokyo. The seating capacity of Budokan is about 14,000. "Tokyo 23,000 people" mean 2 shows at Budokan? It's not easy to get 2 shows there sold out. I'm wondering if there were 2 shows at Budokan of SF, or 1 Budokan show which was sold out, and they did a show in Osaka, Nagoya at hall which seating capacity is about 2,000? Or they played only at hall in Japan??? |
